Expertise from the clinical field and the production and utilization of clinical data have become essential drivers of growth in the digital healthcare industry, and accordingly the value of hospital clinical data continues to rise without limit.

The National Strategic Technology Research Institute is an organization that will perform the core functions required to foster advanced biotechnology in a stable and strategic manner. Building on the outstanding talent, state-of-the-art infrastructure, and rich medical data held by Seoul National University Hospital, we aim to generate innovative research achievements and to serve as a hub institution for the bio cluster through collaboration with leading global organizations.

On the foundation of Seoul National University Hospital, the nation's most capable national university hospital, we will: first, build, develop, and utilize a global data platform specialized in advanced bio research; second, establish a sustainable international cooperation framework to build a world-class digital bio hub ecosystem; and third, cultivate global core talent who will lead a new era and connect them to industry.

About the Institute

The National Strategic Technology Research Institute (NSTRI) of Seoul National University Hospital is a nationally designated research institute that performs the core functions required to foster advanced biotechnology in a stable and strategic manner. Building on the world-class clinical capabilities and medical data assets held by Seoul National University Hospital, it provides integrated support for the development, commercialization, and international cooperation of national strategic technologies, centered on five specialized organizations: the Strategic Planning Office, the Advanced Biotech Center, the Data Innovation Center, the Global Tech Commercialization Center, and the International Cooperation Center.
